The Centre is well equipped with Examination chair, Imported Slit lamp Bio-microscope, Keratometer, Ultrasound A-scan and B-scan, Indirect Ophthalmoscope, Gonioscope and various lenses necessary for diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of Ophthalmology. In addition to general Ophthalmology, the Centre also screens for Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma and for Squint and visual acuity assessment in Children.

The staff at the Centre includes visiting Consultant Ophthalmologists, an Anaesthesiologist, 2 Nurses, a Ward-boy, a Manager and a Receptionist.

The Operating theatre is well-equipped with Zeiss Operating Microscope, Alcon’s Phacoemulsification machine, Anterior Vitrectomy system, RGM from Datex Ohmeda, Bipolar Cautery, BGM air Sterliser and UV tubes.The Day Care Ophthalmic Procedure Centre performs all kinds of surgeries of the anterior segment of the eye including Phacoemulsification Cataract surgery, Trabeculectomy for Glaucoma, Squint Corrections, Corrective procedures for droopy and baggy eye lids (Ptosis correction and Blepharoplasty), Cosmetic Orbital implant following Enucleation and Eviceration procedures, Lacrimal Sac Surgery, Pterigium excision with conjunctiva grafts and Corneal Transplants.

The Optical store on the second floor is compact but has adequate range of frames and sunglasses to satisfy your needs. The prices are reasonable and the optometrist is sincere and takes the needs of the patient into consideration while advising about the frames and glasses There is plenty of room for expansion in future on this floor and we are hoping to set up Visual fields machine, YAG Laser, fundus Camera and Argon laser.

Optometrist helps the new contact lens users in allaying their anxiety by taking them through the steps in safe insertion and removal of lenses.
